With 180 cars carefully curated from the world’s most elite brands in order to reflect the 9 disciplines of motorsport and 29 motorsport series in-game, Project CARS 2 has you covered, no matter what gets your adrenaline racing. Each car in-game has been selected to represent a moment in time, an era of racing, and the sense of motorsport captured in all its heroic beauty. How I Learned To Love the Grind in MLB The Show 17 There was a time that the idea of grinding missions in MLB The Show sounded about as appealing to me as a root canal. In fact, I don’t think I even understood what most of the missions even entailed just as recently as last year when playing MLB The Show 16. All I knew was that they meant playing countless essentially meaningless games against a CPU opponent and I wanted absolutely nothing to do with that. I was a die-hard franchise player, both online and offline, and I assumed this Diamond Dynasty mode I kept hearing about was only for people willing to shell out extra funds to buy the best possible team. Even when I finally gave Diamond Dynasty a try last year to see what all the fuss was about and learned that you could put together a competitive enough squad without spending so much as a dime, I still recoiled at the thought of grinding out missions to upgrade my team. But then that all changed this year. Maybe it was the frustration of never being able to pull a single diamond from any of the packs and in-game rewards or the slowly dawning realization that it was going to be impossible to get over a certain hump without acquiring some better players. Whatever it was, something compelled me to finally give these missions a try. My first glimpse of the missions menu was rather confusing and I’m embarrassed to admit that I didn’t even realize just how many types of missions there were initially because I neglected to scroll past the first page. But after watching some helpful tutorials on how to best approach conquest (knowing this was the easiest way to obtain a bunch of diamond players), I jumped into the deep end and before I knew it, I had spent the whole day conquering territories and strongholds all across the baseball landscape like some kind of sporty Genghis Khan. This was the gateway drug that got me hooked and since then, I’ve come to only develop a greater appreciation for all of the ways that...

MLB The Show 17 Dev Team Discuss Server Issues, Hitting & More Ramone Russell and a couple of other developers for MLB The Show 17 hosted a Twitch stream earlier today to discuss the ongoing server issues and how they continue to release patches and provide server maintenance, as they work out the online issues. Every server maintenance includes (A) Optimization or (B) include a fix. Obviously the game is a high priority for the team and they will continue to monitor activity, optimize online technology and send out updates as quickly as they can. Hitting has been a hot topic with the game this year and Chris Gill goes more in-depth with it and answers some of the more popular questions that were sent his way. Next, Stephen Hass chimes in with the latest Live Content news, which includes All-Star Summer double XP and tickets, now through July 4. He also talks about some All-Star Summer Events that are just around the corner. Ramone finishes off the stream with some free stuff. If you missed the stream or just want to watch it again, the archive is here. The post MLB The Show 17 Dev Team Discuss Server Issues, Hitting & More appeared first on Operation Sports. Using NBA 2K17 to Look Ahead to Free Agency With the NBA draft behind us, it’s time to shift focus to the time of year every NBA fan looks forward to: free agency. And thanks to modern technology, we no longer have to wait for next year’s game to tinker with updated rosters. I mean, sure, I can’t wait to boot up NBA 2K18 on day one and play with the new rosters, but why wait? Using the Start Today feature in NBA 2K17, I simulated the entire upcoming offseason to see how each team would handle free agency. Let’s take a look at where things landed in the virtual world, compare it to some of the rumors we’re hearing in the real world, and how all of that will impact NBA 2K18. One caveat I should note is that with using the Start Today feature I was unable to factor in this year’s draft class. In its place, I used an auto-generated 2K draft class. Let’s take a look at how things shook out in the simulation, and what we can look forward to this upcoming offseason. Dion Waiters And Paul Millsap To Philadelphia The first team I checked after the sim was Philadelphia. And although I understand trusting the process, trusting Dion Waiters for four years, even after an incredible year in Miami, might be a bit of a stretch. Nevertheless, you can’t fault Philly for sliding some established players alongside their boatload of young pieces. And this is something we might actually see come NBA 2K18, as Philly has been tossed around as a possible Waiters destination (though I still highly doubt it happens). Millsap, however? Nah. With Saric, Embiid, Holmes, Simmons and Okafor already on board, this really is not a position of need. What would make for a nice team would be to flip Okafor for any sort of asset and start Millsap and Embiid together, with Saric providing that spark off the bench. The obvious concern here is Embiid’s injury history, and the spacing with Simmons slotting down to the other forward spot, but...

Houston Adds Chris Paul: What Does NBA 2K17 Think? Chris Paul is now a Houston Rocket according to multiple reports out of the NBA this morning. The Rockets traded Lou Williams and Patrick Beverley to the Clippers for Paul. While we don’t yet know where players will be rated heading into NBA 2K18, we can use NBA 2K17 as a rough guide for how the trade shakes out for both teams. Needless to say, the Western Conference race was reshaped in a big way, as the Rockets adding Paul adds quite a bit of firepower to an already pretty well oiled machine. The Rockets are coming off of a 55-27 season while the Clippers had a respectable 51-31 year of their own. A look at how NBA 2K17 saw both teams before the trade. NBA 2K17 put the Clippers as the fourth best overall team with both Paul and Blake Griffin (also leaving) in the lineup. The Rockets were sixth overall in the league. So, you know, both teams were pretty highly regarded. And while rosters aren’t finalized and ratings will change, here’s now NBA 2K17 sees both teams post-trade: [IMG] A look at both teams post trade in NBA 2K17. Its obvious that the Clippers would take a step back losing both Paul and Blake Griffin (their two best players). However, 2K17 seems to indicate the Clippers could still be a fringe playoff team even without both. Lou Williams and Patrick Beverley are hardly slouches,...

Barring an unexpected transaction this summer the Houston Rockets will enter NBA 2K18 with the highest rated backcourt in the game. By acquiring Chris Paul in a trade today they’ve passed by the Golden State Warriors duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Paul is rated 91 Overall making him the third best point guard 2K. He’s now paired with James Harden’s 96 Overall. Presumably Harden will be shifting back to more of a traditional shooting guard role but naturally he’ll still have the ball in his hands a lot. Both are great passers – Harden actually a better passer than Paul according to 2K – so regardless of who is primarily handling it on a given possession good things can happen. Curry (95) and Thompson (88) now drop to the second highest rated backcourt duo. Next behind them are the Wizards (John Wall 90, Bradley Beal 87) and Raptors (DeMar DeRozan 89, Kyle Lowry 88) though they may be broken up this offseason with the latter entering free agency. In the deal for Paul the Clippers received in return Lou Williams (80), Patrick Beverley (78), and Sam Dekker (73). The Clippers will look very different in 2K18 with the loss of Paul, Blake Griffin possibly moving on, and potential trades being discussed regarding DeAndre Jordan. Continue reading...

Diamond Dynasty Update: Two All-Star Programs Added For the first time this season, we’ve seen two Programs added to Diamond Dynasty on the same day. They are the All-Star Ryne Sandberg and All-Star Felix Rodriguez Programs. The final prize for each is an All-Star Ryne Sandberg (99 overall) that mashes righties and is a solid fielder, and an All-Star Felix Rodriguez (98) that dominates overall. The missions for these programs can be completed offline or online. For the Ryne Sandberg Program, the difficult missions will be amassing 675 plate appearances with All-Star Series players (including other associated stats), and exchanging 99,000 points of Live series second basemen — at least in the short term as prices are already up as of today. Some might also have difficulty amassing 3 hits, 1 run, 1 double and 1 RBI in the same game with the Bronze Ryne Sandberg that unlocks when you’ve completed 50 percent of the missions. For the Felix Rodriguez Program, the difficult mission will be amassing 236 innings pitched with All-Star Series starting pitchers (including other associated stats). In addition, if you don’t have him already, the Live Series Felix Rodriguez that you need to collect has already gone from roughly 6,500 Stubs to now 23,000 Stubs. Presumably the cost of his Live Series card will come back down a bit in time, but in the short term that’s quite a jump up in price. Some also might not have five All-Star starting pitchers to use right now in order to efficiently complete the innings pitched. To help with these missions, the Ticket Counter has also been given an update. All-Star Adrian Gonzalez (92) was added to the Ticket Counter today, as well as All-Star Jackie Bradley Jr. (86) — you need to be Gold Level 50 and have the Tickets to buy these. Other new player items that will be showing up in the Ticket Counter in the coming days include All-Star Ben Zobrist (97), All-Star Sean Doolittle (92), All-Star Ervin Santana (88), and All-Star Devin...
