25 Things To Know About Madden NFL 16’s Franchise Mode (Game Informer)
Game Informer has posted 25 things to know about Madden NFL 16's Franchise Mode. Quite a few of them were not included in the official blog released earlier today. Below are a few items of interest, click here to read them all.
  • Draft classes are randomized, and the development team has tweaked the process to try and ensure better and more realistic distribution of positions drafted and where they are drafted.
  • Once your player is drafted, you'll immediately see their ratings and where they rank in the draft in terms of their overall rating.
  • Madden 16 does not include major changes to signing free agents or the available contact options. Elements missing in previous years like restricted free agents and the fifth-year option are not in the game.
  • Commissioners of online and offline leagues can apply wins or losses to other players' matches. This could come in handy if there was something that prevented a game that should have won, or if you want to advance the week to skip over a deadbeat player.

EA Sports has just released Madden NFL 16 Connected Franchise details. Players can choose between offline and cloud saves. With cloud saves, you can advance weeks faster and access the league online and invite friends. The blog details confidence tuning, free practice, combine stats, scouting and much more. DYNAMIC DRIVE GOALS Each new drive contains a Drive Goal that can be completed for bonus XP and/or Confidence. Specific goals are tailored based on events in the current game to give players a unique challenge each and every game. Dynamic Drive Goals truly influence the way you play. The more goals you complete, the faster your players improve. POST-PLAY GOAL FEEDBACK The team listened to fan feedback and made it easier for players to see which goals have been completed in-game. This year, players will now see goal feedback throughout the mode. XP and Confidence updates appear next to your player at the end of each play. A new ticker at the bottom of the screen tracks goal progress and shows updates to all the goals influenced that play. Players will also notice new broadcast interface elements that celebrate completing goals. This adds up to a groundbreaking broadcast experience for Connected Franchise. WEEKLY GOALS Weekly goals have been refactored from the ground up by implementing a new quest-like system that chains goals together week to week. Jonas Blixt Will Be on the Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR Roster. EA Sports continues to slowly reveal the roster for Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR. Today they have released a quick video showcasing Jonas Blixt. EA Sports has already confirmed the below players to their lineup... Rickie Fowler - winner of The Players Championship. Jordan Spieth - Masters Champion. Rory Mcllory - Cover Athlete. More players are planned to be announced in the coming weeks, so be on the look out. Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR is scheduled to release on July 14th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

[​IMG] Tall Palms Golf Club is a par 72 layout located on the coast in southern Florida. Since there is not much elevation change, it provides for some spectacular views of the ocean. Water comes into play on a number of holes and you will rarely be without at least a view of the water. Tall Palms Golf Club is a very scenic course that winds its way through the lush tropical vegetation. As the name would indicate, you will see many of the holes lined with palms. #4 requires an accurate drive over the inlet and if the winds are in your favor, you can choose to carry more of the water to leave a shorter iron uphill to the green. The drive on #6 is a high risk/reward shot. You have to choose whether to try to drive it over the river or play the much safer shot short of it. When you get to the back nine, watch out on the par 3 #12 to choose the right club as anything short will find the water. The 13th hole will tease you to try to drive the green. Take special care to make sure you definitely draw the ball as you will need to aim out towards the water to draw it around the trees. #17 is the other par 3 hole on the back nine. This hole requires a middle iron over the water to a front pin. If the winds are up, a par will be a good score here. As you step on to the tee at #18, you will notice that water runs down the entire right side of the hole, making it a very scenic finisher! [​IMG] [​IMG]...

Making a 60fps indie sports title Hey everyone, My name is Christian (Delphenium on the forums), and I am one of the developers of Super Mega Baseball and a co-founder at Metalhead Software. This is basically my first attempt at a ‘real’ blog post, but I hope that some of you will find what follows interesting. What I’d like to talk about today is what it means for a game to ‘run at 60fps’, and perhaps explain some of things that go into making this happen in non-developer terms. If you have ever been curious about what goes into something like this, keep reading! People have been making games that run at a steady 60fps for a long time, I in no way claim that this is somehow a unique achievement. What I do hope to show you is the sheer scale of stuff that has to happen in a very short amount of time for this to be possible in a game such as SMB. First, a bit of an intro as to why this is relevant. SMB is, at its core, a high precision, high skill twitch game. It has an incredibly broad difficulty range, ranging from 0 (very easy), to 99, (almost impossible). The computer never ‘cheats’ in this game to make the game harder for you. What happens instead is that you have to provide more accurate and better timed input to perform well. It is very difficult to perform well at these kinds of twitch mechanics if the framerate is inconsistent, so running at a steady 60fps has always been a ‘must have’ for this game. The ‘feel’ of hitting, jumping, diving, etc is indescribably more precise at 60fps than at 30fps. Fun gameplay has always been our top priority, and this was one of the key requirements to facilitate maximum fun. NASCAR '15 Review (360/PS3)
For a game representing one of the more popular sports in North America, the release of NASCAR 15 has been relatively quiet. NASCAR used to command the same attention as other annual racing games and sports titles. This year, the Gamestop where I purchased my copy had only received two copies for each platform. Worse, the game comes with a large share of the usual warning signs: last-gen only, later than usual release date, exclusive retailer, budget price, etc. The biggest issue, however with NASCAR 15, is that it's really just a rescind NASCAR 14. MLB 15 The Show: Diamond Dynasty Ratings Boost Predictions (5/24/15)
We may or may not get a roster update tomorrow as it's Memorial Day weekend in the States. But whether the update comes Monday or Tuesday, it's time to predict who may be on the rise in the next roster update. I'll be breaking the predictions into tiers based on my own confidence level.
Ratings Boost Probability: High
Jason Kipnis - He got a plus-one boost last week, but he's done nothing but continue to hit. Ryan Braun - He was stripped of Gold status earlier in the year, but not many players have hit the ball better than Braun the past month. Kris Bryant - Bryant got a plus-two boost last week, but I still feel confident projecting him to get another upgrade. Prince Fielder - Fielder is back and healthy and he's been annihilating the ball as of late. Brandon Crawford - This is probably a little overdue as Crawford is hitting .350 the last month. Dexter Fowler - Fowler just has a good mix of power and speed going this year. Brandon Belt - Belt is crushing the ball in May, and it seems maybe he's putting it together. Shelby Miller - Miller had the near no-hitter and has just been really good. Based on his price in the marketplace, most others think he's getting a boost as well. A.J. Burnett - Burnett is another one people in the marketplace are already expecting to get a ratings boost. It's fair at this point, his numbers are silly. Jason Hammel - Hammel has just been really good this year, and even better over the past month. Mike Bolsinger - Bolsinger is rolling. He's 27 and not a hot-shot prospect, but I would still be a little surprised if he doesn't get a boost. James Paxton - Paxton is having just a solid year.
